Rakhi Sawant is known for entertainment, entertainment, and entertainment. The reality TV star is currently in the news for a public fallout with husband Aadil Khan Durrani. From alleging physical abuse to accusing him for fraud, there’s a new drama unfolding each day. While we wish that Rakhi finds her true love, here’s a look at the timeline of her controversial love life:

Abhishek Awasthi (2007-2011)

Rakhi’s first public relationship was with Abhishek Awasthi, who was a choreographer and had his own dance academy in Kanpur. The ex-couple met at a music video shoot and later during gym sessions. They were the runner-up jodi in Nach Baliye 3 (2007), where Abhishek also proposed to his lady love. However, in 2011, the couple had a public split when Rakhi found out that he was cheating on her. The actress slapped ex-beau in front of the entire media on Valentine’s Day after which they parted ways.

Elesh Parujanwala (2009)

Back in 2009, Rakhi chose Toronto-based NRI Elesh Parujanwala as her var in the reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar. The two got engaged on national television in the season finale and also participated in another reality show Pati Patni Aur Woh in the same year. However, a few months later, the couple called it quits and the blame game began. Rakhi claimed that Elesh wasn’t financially stable, had girlfriends back in Toronto, and wanted her to settle there. But Elesh had a different story to tell. He complained of being treated poorly and accused Rakhi of maligning his image. 

Deepak Kalal (2018)

After no-relationship rumours for over nine years, Rakhi announced her marriage with Pune-based vlogger Deepak Kalal in 2018. They gave several interviews together and shared posts about their big-fat Los Angeles wedding plans on social media. However, everyone suspected that their relationship was simply a publicity stunt. Within a few months, Rakhi called it off. Later, Deepak posted a video on his Instagram revealing that she owed him Rs 4 crore.

Ritesh Singh (2019-2021)

After a messy split with Deepak, Rakhi shared pictures of her actual wedding with businessman Ritesh Singh in 2019. The only missing piece of the puzzle was the husband. For the longest time, Ritesh’s identity was kept under wraps and everyone suspected Rakhi of yet another publicity stunt. However, the couple finally appeared together on Bigg Boss 15 in 2021. During the show, Ritesh was criticised for treating Rakhi disrespectfully. Rakhi also revealed that he still hadn’t divorced his first wife. Reports of the couple’s split started making the rounds soon after their exit from the show. Rakhi finally announced the split on her social media. 

Aadil Khan (June 2022-2023)

Soon after her split with Ritesh, Rakhi was spotted with a “mystery man”. She was being accompanied by her lovestruck “boyfriend” Aadil Khan Durrani everywhere. But things went downhill when her mother’s health condition worsened. While she was battling cancer, pictures from Rakhi’s secret nikah to Aadil leaked on the Internet. After her mother’s demise, the actress revealed that she found out that he had a girlfriend. She also accused him of physical abuse, faking his identity, and financial fraud. Rakhi filed a police complaint against Aadil, who was immediately taken into custody.
