Since yesterday, we’ve all been mourning the loss of the legendary actress Sridevi, keeping her in our hearts and minds. We’re nothing but spectators in this situation despite how she’s touched our lives with her talent. However, it hurts to imagine the plight of the people who were close to her, worked with her or had the opportunity to enjoy her company. One such lucky man is Rajeev Ravindranathan. You’ll remember him as the actor who played a Tamilian techie in English Vinglish, her classmate with a strong accent. So he decided to put down his emotions in words and shared a heartfelt Facebook post about the amazing person Sridevi was.
An ode to Sri. For the longest time, Sridevi to me was “that bad lady who made Kamal Hassan cry” in Moondram…

Sridevi remained a figure of elegance through her roles in her movies. She was known for her impeccable comic timing and made any character come alive on the silver screen. With her comeback film, Sridevi had established, once again, why she was hailed as the first female superstar of a country and industry that was dominated by men. The loss has been devastating, not just for the actor’s family and friends, but, for the nation, as a whole. We send our best to her family and friends.
