Rachel Gupta has made history by becoming the first Indian to claim the Miss Grand International title, standing out among contestants from 70 countries. But that’s not all—this victory also brings her alongside the iconic Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta, with both now holding the record for “the most global pageant crowns won by an Indian.” Adding to her achievement, Gupta was also honoured with the Grand Pageants Choice Award.
Breaking the exciting news online, the Miss Grand International organizers posted, “Congratulations to the winner Rachel Gupta on achieving the crown of dreams! She embodies beauty, elegance, and true talent. May her journey to success shine even brighter with every step she takes.”
Before her historic win, Rachel took the internet by storm by dressing up as the river Ganga. Sharing the thought behind the look, she wrote. “The design process of this costume was so personal and close to my heart. It would not have been possible without @tanyakotnala who is without a doubt the best designer I have had the pleasure of knowing. I am lucky to have a such amazing creative spirit in my life. @artakarach_design is an insanely talented costume designer who was able to seamlessly bring our vision together and take care of me every step of the way.
