Priya Malik won our hearts when she recited this oh-so-romantic and beautiful poem. And now, her fans know that Karan Bakshi has won her heart and the two love birds are engaged! The Bigg Boss 9 star updated a post on her Instagram handle on her engagement anniversary and informed that she was officially engaged to Karan on the same date a year ago. She wrote, “It is time to tell you all, that on this date, in 2019, I found my 1999.”
Priya and her ex-husband, Bhushan Malik, divorced amicably around two years ago and parted ways on a friendly term. She did not make the news public and even kept the news about her engagement off the radar as well. Karan is a Delhi-based entrepreneur and reportedly, Priya will be tying the knot with her beau in 2021.
This is the first time Priya opened up about her relationship with Karan. Priya has even uploaded stories on her Instagram on the occasion of Karwa Chauth, where Karan can be seen adorably applying mehndi on Priya’s hand. She has also posted a snap of her henna and captioned it, “1999 #MadewithLove”.
Priya Malik is an outspoken feminist and rose to fame with her appearance on Bigg Boss 9. She was evicted just a few days before the finale. Priya played the game gracefully and is now winning hearts with her beautiful poetry.
Recently, Priya Malik expressed her views on Twitter on Kavita Kaushik and Eijaz Khan’s big fight. She slammed Kavita for mocking Eijaz’s mental health and voiced her disappointment over the matter. She wrote, “You don’t help someone and then make a mockery out of it on national television. Kavita Kaushik was wrong to talk about Eijaz Khan’s mental health. The words were wrong so was the intent.”
Another television personality and Bigg Boss 7 contestant, Kamya Salabh Dang, replied to that and voiced her disagreement with Priya while supporting her BFF Kavita. She wrote, “Kavita talking about it on national TV is wrong, I agree! But the fact which people are not getting and do not know is that it wasn’t that he did not have money to buy food, he did not have a house help to cook food. So, he called Kavita and asked her to cook for him and that is what Kavita is trying to say.”
Well, Bigg Boss is bound to have controversies but we are glad that Priya found her forever person in her fiance, Karan. Priya has disabled the comment option on her engagement post but we wish the couple hearty congratulations!
