A life + style blogger, a Bollywood addict, a home baker, an army brat who loves Indian weddings and a true Punjabi, Devina from Guilty Bytes is all set to get married this November. And the pretty bride-to-be will be sharing all the little details of her bridal journey with us! Here’s the second post from her #BridalDiaries. Click here for the first post on finding her dream wedding lehenga and shoes.
This year is really special for I am going to be twirling in a gorgeous lehenga at my dream wedding, something that I’ve longed for, for years! I still remember the emotions I experienced when I broke the news to my girl friends after my fiancé proposed to me. There were butterflies in my stomach, endless sighs and I was so overwhelmed. Because my girls mean the world to me, I decided to ditch the usual pre-wedding shoot with my fiancé (not that we won’t do anything at all) and instead do something special for the squad. I wanted to honour each of my friends who had been with me through different phases of my life and that’s why I ended up involving all of them in a stunning bridesmaids shoot. I made sure that each one looked like a dream in a designer outfit, got VIP beauty treatment and looked perfect to the T.

The time before the bridesmaids shoot was really important as I had to get everyone together (some of them live in different cities) for our memorable shoot. I started with searching for an unflawed location and there couldn’t have been anything better than the premium rooftop venue – LongChamp at The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi. Boasting of sheer elegance, the venue has remarkable views of Delhi’s key heritage sites and was ideal for our intimate shoot. Riveting Events was brought on board for the whimsical decor.
I decided to co-create cute bridal favours with Zariin Jewellery for my bridesmaids and gave those as part of the invitation for our shoot. We put together their extraordinary Pearl Kissed Redux goodies and charms along with a cute note, thanking them for helping me tie the knot.
Such an adorable invite for the bridesmaids!
The shoot day will always be a distinctive memory because it started with my girl gang getting all dolled up at the F Salon, Rajouri Garden. I loved the hairdo the team at F Salon did for me, and needless to say that the makeup was on point, for everyone! So I recommend this salon to all brides and bridesmaids for the coming wedding season.

To pick our dresses for the bridesmaids shoot, we went to the Ritu Kumar store in South Ex. I picked up this gorgeous green lehenga from their bridal collection, while my friends picked out a variety of flowy anarkalis, net sarees, lehengas and gowns, all in pastel shades. Twirling in a Ritu Kumar outfit was one of my favourite moments from the shoot.
Ready for the shoot!
The all-time favourite twirling pose!
Catching up in between shots?!
Zariin jewellery also offered us some of the best pieces from their new collection that synchronized flawlessly with our dresses. And not to forget the gorgeous clutches from Ru.saru. The girls loved every bit of all this!
Can’t get enough of the stunning jewels and the beautiful clutch!
From planning to execution, the bridesmaids shoot has been such a lovely experience which I will reminisce all my life. I can’t thank all my band partners enough – The Taj Mahal Hotel, Ritu Kumar, Zariin Jewellery, Ru.Saru and F Salon India – for helping me raise a toast to beautiful beginnings and rediscover the joys of friendship like never before!
All smiles!
Also, a big shoutout to Megha Jain from Sunflare Arthouse for the beautiful pictures.
