Let’s bring out the cakes ‘coz it’s our 7th birthday!
The past seven years have been a joyous ride, to say the least. We’ve written super fun and informative articles, shot thousands of videos and hit a few million page views. We’ve also collaborated with some of the most talented women in the country on a variety of topics ranging from fashion and fitness to beauty and health and what a learning experience that’s been. TBH, it’s all because of you and it’s all for you. This milestone would obviously not have been possible without you guys. Your love fuels us and your support feeds us, so, thank you so freakin’ much!
From where we started to where we are as India’s largest digital community for women, it’s been one hell of a journey. I’ve been with POPxo for only a year-and-a-half, which sometimes surprises me, given the amount I’ve learned here. I was given so many opportunities to do things I’ve never done before, including being on video, that I feel like a much more confident professional today. I’m very proud of the work that we do, the way we continue to champion women and tell their stories to our audience. A huge portion of my time here has been spent working from home, which is a shame because being at work with my team used to be one of the highlights of this job. I cannot wait to spend hours discussing the latest Bollywood release and then meme-ing it to an inch of its life with my colleagues again!

It’s only been 7 years, but it feels like POPxo has been around forever!

I’ve been with POPxo for close to 4 years now & it’s been one hell of a ride. I started off as a writer, I’d just switched careers and decided to follow my passion for beauty and honestly had no idea where I was headed. Well, here we are 4 years later! It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey and I’ve learnt so much at every step of the way. POPxo has given me a platform to pursue my passion and the confidence I needed to start my own blog & I’ll forever be grateful for that. In the last one year, we’ve had mergers, launches and short deadlines. But we’ve pulled together as a team & the excitement and satisfaction of making it through a seemingly impossible task is what makes every day at work exciting.

I have been working with POPxo for a little more than a year-and-half and I am proud to say that POPxo gave me my career-changing moment. I became the face of #POPxoGetFit eight months after I joined the company. POPxo gave a new direction to my passion and made me realise that it’s never too late to follow what you love. From writing about Bollywood, Bigg Boss to strong, well-argued opinion pieces, I have loved every day of being at work. I have learnt a lot of new things, and I have made some really good friends. At POPxo, we do things together, we work hard and party harder. I can’t wait for the day when WFH gets over and I can get back to hustling hard, chasing numbers with my team in the office.

The one motto that POPxo lives by is work hard, play harder. From staying up till 2 am writing Bollywood wedding articles and being in the studio till wee hours of the morning filming to dancing to the beats of the dhol at every office party, it’s been a fun ride. Also, in which office do you get to play with babies and puppies alike? It’s always a new day here and it makes me so happy that I get to do what I love every day!

Learning never stops… That’s what I learnt at POPxo. If I have to summarize my last two years here, it has been a roller coaster ride, where monotony goes out of the window when it comes to working culture. I learnedd resilience is much needed whether it’s for your hobby or career.

I have nothing but gratitude towards POPxo for maintaining transparency during that time and prioritizing their employee’s safety & mental well-being. Time flies when you’re having fun, but only when you’re having fun. I can’t believe it’s been half a year already. Time at POPxo has really flown by. I was hired at some point during the ongoing pandemic and everything felt a bit hazy, I expected my changeover to be a lot more intense than it was but POPxo is such a loving place! I’m longing for the simple moments, interactions and experiences I’m yet to share with my colleagues once remote working is done with.

Last year amidst the pandemic, I was offered an exciting role at POPxo and knew this was an opportunity I couldn’t say no to, so I immediately joined the team. I rejoined the a branch of POPxo called the MyGlammXO Beauty Creator team and what a journey it has been, I have learned and grown so much since the day I joined and grown a tremendous amount thanks to my supportive team. I wish POPxo the happiest birthday and hope we grow bigger and do better this year!

I’ve been working with POPxo for a little more than a year-and-half. This is my first corporate job ever and I’ve learned so much. Every day is a new day here, nothing ever seems monotonous. I can’t wait for work from home to end, so I can go back to my regular office desk, working & bonding with my colleagues over maggi and playing with doggos. It truly is the best place to work!

I have been working with POPxo for over 3 years and I must say that it has been the best journey – professionally and personally. The exposure and opportunities provided to me has been a great learning experience for me. From working on client pitches for straight 48 hrs to ordering (read: over ordering) food, partying with my work colleagues (turned friends) has made my experience even more fun! It’s been almost a year and a half with POPxo and all I can say is that people ought to experience the working environment for themselves. ‘Exciting’ is the word that comes to my mind every time I am asked to describe our work culture. The people, the vibe, the work will stand in stark contrast against the traditional corporate culture, it’s like a rainbow next to fifty shades of grey. There is no ‘box’ that confines you into one kind of space and work. The last 1.5 years have flown by dancing in the corridors of the office, brainstorming new strategies, or just meme-ing the first thing I see on the internet. I am so grateful for all the experiences that I have had and I hope that POPxo continues to flourish and crushing the ‘box’. Here’s to POPxo turning 7!
