Pooja Bedi’s Wish For Daughter Alaia About Her Bollywood Debut Is All Over The Internet!

Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia Furniturewalla is a sensation on Instagram. The star kid is all set to make her debut in Bollywood with Jawaani Jaaneman with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in the lead roles.

Doting mother Pooja is super excited for her daughter’s debut. She wished her daughter luck on Twitter and now, her tweet is everywhere!

In the picture tweeted by Pooja, Alaia and Saif are seen wearing jerseys of the Indian cricket team – they went to support team India during the match against Pakistan on June 16. 

Alaia is seen holding the national flag. The star kid also shared this picture with the caption, “India V Pakistan father’s day celebrations with my on-screen father from #JawaaniJaaneman, #SaifAliKhan✨”

Saif, who was on a vacation in London with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their son Taimur, will start filming Jawaani Jaaneman with Alaia soon and their schedule will wrap up in two months, Pooja Bedi confirmed.

Alaia, who arrived in London a week in advance to prepare for her role in the film, earlier in a conversation with IANS talked about her debut movie. She said, “It’s daunting, but it makes every cell in my body dance. I’m one of those who love to over-prepare, and am hence leaving for London a week in advance. I want to get into the skin of my character and study the script better. I’m working with established artists who I admire, so I’m understandably nervous. To ease those nerves, Nitin sir thought it would be appropriate for me to observe things on set before I have to go in front of the cameras.”

Back in November 2018, Alaia had shared the news of her Bollywood debut starring Saif. She had posted a snippet of a newspaper with the caption, “Beyonnnnnd excited to finally be able to share the news of my first film!💃🏻 honoured, grateful and overjoyed to be a part of #JawaaniJaaneman with #SaifAliKhan!

Jay Shewakramani, who is also producing the upcoming film via his banner Northern Lights Films along with Saif, revealed how they roped in Alaia for the film. He said, “Someone told me that Pooja Bedi’s daughter wants to act, so I checked out her pictures and sent a message to Pooja who put me in touch with Alaia’s agency. We loved her test, she’s got the film completely on her own merit.”

Helmed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment in association with Saif’s Black Knight Films and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films, the film is about a 40-year-old man who refuses to grow up and realises accidentally that he is a father to a teenager.

It is slated to hit theatres on November 29, 2019.
