The havoc in Kerala caused by floods has taken a toll on the lives in the state. While many rescue teams, including the Indian army, are working day and night to save people, there is a section of the society that is hoping to help the animals of the area.
HSI (Humane Society International) India has a team of volunteers actively working towards saving four-legged companions who have been abandoned or trapped in the floods. Remember hearing about the woman who refused to leave the house without her 25 dogs? Well, the team provided them with a safe shelter nearby and have also been collecting food and medicines for the furry creatures.
The teams are still looking for help and are constantly hoping to save more animals in the process. If you are an animal lover who would be interested in contributing, here is how you can offer help.
If you haven’t already made a contribution to the CM’s Relief Fund, you can do so on the website, or use PayTm, Amazon and Big Basket to lend a helping hand.
