A lot is always said about living with parents. It may be sweet, but of course, it comes with a fair share of work. All relationships require work, it’s the generation gap that makes it tougher. If you were to ask people their opinions on how it feels living with the parents, the answers are not going to be perfect.
It’s a lot like life – when we live with them, we don’t wish to, and when we don’t, we wish to constantly get more time with them. This is complex. The common opinion, however, is that a healthy relationship with one’s parents is the best thing ever. Understandably, that is rare to find. That said, not wanting to live under the same roof as our parents does not imply that we love them less. It just means that we respect the differences that exist.
In a nutshell, there is no right answer. There cannot be – it’s circumstantial. What works best for a person is, in fact, the right thing to do. If anything, that is one of the ways to build healthy relationships – just knowing what you want, and saying it out loud. These answers by the internet are more proof to it.
In the end, it all comes down to making hard choices – either way.
