While we are fans of grand wedding decor and OTT lehengas, there’s something about minimalism that’s always refreshing. Lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of millennial brides who choose to go minimal on their wedding functions and proved that less is indeed more. Meet Rabab Hashim, a Pakistani actress, who recently tied the knot with bae Sohaib Shamshad and we’re in awe of what she wore for one of her pre-wedding ceremonies.

Ditching the usual heavy bridal attires, Rabab chose to wear a simple yellow suit for her Mayoun ceremony and looked absolutely breathtaking. For those who don’t know, Mayoun is the first ceremony that kickstarts a Pakistani wedding and it includes dholki beats, a lot of naach gaana and obviously, food. Rabab, who opted to get her mehendi done on the same day too, totally impressed us with her simplicity and all we can say is mashallah.

The new bride accessorised her outfit with floral jewellery–a maangtikka and earrings–and chose not to wear any neckpiece. For her makeup, she went for a fresh-faced look with a hint of eyeliner and kajal along with nude lips. She went for loose curls as far as her hairdo is concerned and tied them to the side. Take a look at her photos:

Coming back to the bride, here are some more glimpses from the ceremony with Sohaib, and they’re bound to make you feel all mushy.
Not only the Mayoun ceremony, but her other bridal looks were also equally impressive. Here are some pictures from her nikaah for some inspo. Thank us later.

We just have one word–STUNNING!
TBH, there are so many brides, or should we say, lockdown brides, who have changed the way we think about dressing up for one’s wedding, and Rabab is surely one of them. We wish the much-in-love couple a happy married life.
