Oh No! Is Mohsin Khan & Shivangi Joshi’s Relationship Coming To An End On YRKKH? We’ve Got The Deets
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is the longest-running daily soap on Indian television. The show will be celebrating its 13th anniversary in January next year and honestly, we need a minute to let that sink in. Not going to lie, this is a huge deal! It’s not easy to keep your fans entertained for so long and YRKKH has been doing a fab job at it. Well, major credit goes to its cast members who have been playing their characters brilliantly for years. Not to forget, their fans love Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s on-screen chemistry, who play Naitik and Sirat on the show. And, that’s why they might not like what’s coming up next on the show—Mohsin plans to quit YRKKH!
That’s right, the actor has apparently decided to bid adieu to the daily soap after five years. While it’s disappointing, the reason behind it makes a lot of sense. Intrigued? Scroll ahead to know all about it.
A little birdie has revealed that the show is adding a new twist to its plot and it’s not sitting well with the actor. They said, “Yes Mohsin is planning to move on. Since the show is going in for a generation leap, he wouldn’t want to play an older character.” Well, that was the exact reason why Hina Khan, who played Akshara, quit the show a few years ago.
It seems that Mohsin is following the actress’s footsteps, as he too would be taking a small break from television. While talking about it, they said, “So he decided to take a short break. Along with television, he would now want to try out different mediums like OTT and movies.”
TBH, the actor’s recent music video with Urvashi Rautela, called Wo Chaand Kahan Se Laogi, is proof that his fans would love to see him in different roles as well. For now, he will continue to play Kartik for a few more episodes before saying his final goodbye to his viewers. “He is likely to be a part of the show for some more time, after that his exit will be planned,” said the source.
They also revealed that the actor is on good terms with the makers and added, “It’s all amicable between him and the production house. Mohsin has always considered producer, Rajan Shahi, his mentor and guide and he too has spoken highly about Mohsin in his interviews.”
While we will miss his chemistry with Shivangi, we are sure that better things are lined up for Mohsin. NGL, we are quite excited to find out what project he will work on next.
