As the coronavirus outbreak worsens across the globe, social distancing is key to curbing the spread of the virus. On Tuesday, India imposed a country-wide lockdown, instructing its citizens to stay at home during this crisis. While being confined at home does come with its set of issues, let us all take a minute to acknowledge our privilege and express gratitude that we are fortunate enough to seek refuge in a comfortable space during a global pandemic.
Unfortunately, not everybody is as lucky as we are. Several daily wage workers have lost their jobs, and have no idea how to feed their families. While the government has announced financial schemes to help people, it still might not be enough for some families.
