So Awwdorable: New Zealand Speaker Babysits An MP’s Newborn In The Parliament

Looking for a piece of feel-good news that’ll make you smile? Recently, the speaker of New Zealand’s parliament Trevor Mallard won hearts with his post on Twitter. He shared pictures of him feeding and cradling MP Timati Coffey’s little baby at the parliament while she was addressing the House of Representatives.

He wrote a heartfelt caption which read, “Normally the Speaker’s chair is only used by Presiding Officers but today a VIP took the chair with me. Congratulations @tamaticoffey and Tim on the newest member of your family.”

I bet this is the cutest thing you’ve seen on the web today!

This tweet took the cyberspace by storm and netizens had the sweetest things to say. Check out their reactions:

Back in September 2018, New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern created history by becoming the first female world leader to bring an infant to the UN General Assembly.

Leaders in New Zealand seem to be leading by (great) example and we are all for it!
