Guess The Resolutions

Ask your kids and family members to write down their resolutions on a piece of paper. Tear out that part from the paper and palace them all in a bowl. Now, take out a piece of paper from the bowl, one by one, and ask your family to write down who they think made that resolution. The one who gets the highest number of correct answers wins the game. Commemorate the victor by giving them a homemade reward, such as a card or even special snacks or cookies.

Find The Cherry

For this fun game, you will need some disposable cups, whipped cream, spoons, and the star—cherry! Take a disposable cup, place cherries in them, and cover it completely with whipped cream. Hand one disposable cup to each player, and give them spoons to find the cherries. The one who scoops out the cherry first becomes the winner. The best part is that you can have the cherry and whipped cream as an after-game dessert.

Balloon Wish

This is a truly unique and memorable way of celebrating your New Year’s Eve. Tell your kids and family members to write a resolution or wish for New Year’s on a piece of paper. Now fold the paper and place them inside the balloon. Fill the balloon with helium and tightly secure it with a ribbon. Take your kids to the garden or your terrace before the clock strikes 12. Release the balloons along with your family just as midnight strikes.

Indoor Treasure Hunt

Pick up a bunch of items, maybe even gifts, and hide them in different places in your house. Write the list of hidden objects on a piece of paper and hand it to each player. Set a timer, and ask your kids and family to find the objects hidden around the house. The player who finds the most items within the given time is hailed as the winner.

New Year’s Eve Scramble

List down different New Year-themed words on big pieces of paper. Now, cut up the papers in such a way that they form big jumbled words. Put all the words in a bowl and mix them up. Now ask your family to form teams and sit together around the bowl and take out the pieces of paper to form the words. The team which finishes first gets a bunch of different prizes.

Pick The Prize

Ask your kids and family members to make a big circle facing outward and link their arms. Place a bunch of prizes in the middle of the circle. The participants have to try and grab the prizes, but there’s only one rule—they cannot unlink their arms. The player who unlinks their arm first will be out for the round. The one who grabs the prizes will be considered the winner.

New Year’s Eve Balloon Countdown

Write down a few activities on different pieces of paper. Make sure to include fun activities, such as playing with sparklers, making cupcakes, playing board games and puzzles, and so on. Now, put one piece of paper in each balloon and blow them up. Write down a time on each of the balloons, for instance, if you start at 6 PM, you will have 12 balloons, leading up to midnight. Your family will have to burst the respective balloon at each designated time and carry out the activity together.

Fun Photo Vote

Ask your family to dress up in a way they want, make funny faces, and click pictures. Encourage them to get as creative as they want, and try and make their photo stand out the most. When you get all the pictures, upload them to your computer, and screen them on your Television or wall, using a projector. The picture that receives the most laughs and props for being creative becomes the winner of the contest.
