new beauty launches for the festive season

With the onset of the festive season, there comes a barrage of shopping – shopping for the perfect outfit, makeup, and gifts to give. To cater to this need, most brands have made it a point to launch something new and exciting. So if you’re looking to pamper yourself or for a great gift to give this season, we gotchu covered!

Makeup

The new NARS Explicit lipsticks are creamy and have a satin finish to them. They don’t feel heavy or chalky on the lips and come in a whopping 28 shades! And the packaging is just *chef’s kiss*

Katrina Kaif’s brand Kay beauty has been on my radar for a very long time. The new launches are all about hydration, gloss, and a touch of shine. The Kay Beauty FullFill Tinted Lip Plumping Gloss instantly plumps the ,lips, hydrates them and leaves a glossy sheen.

The Nivea Lip Caring Beauty Lip Balm With SPF 30 still remains the best in the business. The new range offers three different shades that can double up as cheek tints too!

For a little shimmer and shine this festive season, let your eyes do all the talking with the Nykaa Cosmetics Stardust Dual Chrome Eyeliners that have a holographic finish. Unicorn eyes? Yes, please!

One of the cutest tints to be launched, the Maybelline New York Superstay Teddy Tint again doubles as both, a lip and cheek tint. Maybelline’s Superstay range has always delivered and this product is Suhana-approved as well!

You know when Charlotte Tilbury delivers a product, it’s going to be ace! The Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint helps achieve the no-makeup makeup look with ease. The texture is breathable, and the stick is easy-to-use. What’s not to love?

Namrata Soni’s SimplyNam products are certifiably one of the best in the country right now. The latest launch, Sweet Kisses Hydrating Lip Balm comes in three shades, contains peptides, is non-sticky and leaves the lips ultra-moisturised with a glazed finish.

The MyGlamm Pout by Karan Johar Intense Matte Plumping Lipsticks are highly pigmented, lightweight and soft on the lips. Like other matte lippies, they don’t dry out the lips. They also have a rich colour payoff and the heart engravings on the bullets are too cute to miss!

The Face Shop’s Vitamin C Lip Sleeping Mask has a refreshing orange scent. It also melts into your lips and is infused with Vitamins C and B3, which soothe, hydrate, and melt into the lips. No more chapped lips with this one!

Skincare

The Minimalist HOCl Skin Relief Spray is one of the best investments sensitive-skin girlies can make! The multi-functional, fragrance-free product can be used as a toner, a post-workout refresh, and just as a spray to soothe irritated and acne-prone skin.

The Clarins Double Serum has been getting rave reviews and with good reason. It contains peptides, vitamin E derivatives, and hyaluronic acid to combat everything from ageing, help improve the skin’s barrier, hydrate, oxygenate, and protect the skin. It’s also French-girl-approved!

Korean skincare brand Dr. Jart is finally in India! One of her products,  Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment with Niacinamide is a must-try. It not only hydrates the skin but also helps combat redness, gets rid of blemishes, leaves the skin feeling and looking healthy, and evens out the skin tone. Need we say more?

With snail mucin as the hero ingredient, the Quench 96% Snail Mucin Collagen Boost Serum is a must-have in any skincare girlie’s vanity. It not only hydrates but also protects and helps restore the skin while boosting collagen production. It’s also specially formulated keeping Indian skin in mind!

If you’re on the lookout for products with a quick turnaround time, the Eucerin Anti-Pigment Dual Serum is your best bet. Thiamidol is Eucerin’s patented ingredient that helps reduce melanin production by acting at the root cause of hyperpigmentation and results are visible after two weeks!

The Asaya Glow & Lift Creme does everything it says. It boosts the skin’s firmness and is enriched with Vitamin C to also boost the skin’s glow. It also helps restore the skin’s barrier, and tackles dull, dry, and lifeless skin, all in one go!

The Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Jelly Oil is a gentle cleanser that easily melts away waterproof makeup. It is gentle on the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling dry or parched. A great way to take off that festive makeup!

Fragrances

Okay, the bottle is super aesthetic but the scent does full justice too. Cosmic by Kylie Jenner has top notes of jasmine, blood orange, with mid-notes of golden amber, and red peony. The base notes are cedarwood and vanilla musk. My favourite thing about this perfume is that the scent is mild and not too overpowering.

The Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 40 is the latest introduction to the Sol family. With top notes of black amber plum, middle notes of jasmine and Brazilian orchid, it smells musky with a hint of vanilla. If you’re in your dark feminine phase and still like smelling sweet, this one’s your pick.

The Givenchy L’interdit Absolu is blurring the boundaries between gendered fragrances. It has textured woody base notes, that join the fragrance’s floral heart. An undercurrent of forbidden notes of tobacco, cistus, and rum absolutes only adds to the charm.

The Bath & Body Works Brightest Bloom Fine Fragrance Mist smells like you’re strolling through a flower garden thanks to the notes of lily, jasmine, carnations and cedarwood.

If you’re more of a deodorant person, Dr. Sheth’s Kesar & Kojic Acid Underarm Roll-On works well for all skin types. It contains kojic acid, and niacinamide, and is alcohol-free. It also helps curb body odour and sweating while fading skin pigmentation at the same time.

Hair

The Moroccanoil Frizz Shield Spray is your best bet against frizzy hair. It protects the hair against humidity leaving it soft and smooth to the touch.

If you require a hair touch-up and don’t have the time to get it done at the salon, Naturtint Permanent Hair Colour is your best bet. It’s also nourishing, non-drying and protects the hair while ensuring it is gentle yet effective on the strands.

A hairstyling tool that’s on my wishlist is the Alan Truman Volumo Curling, Waving and Volumising Brush. It does everything from straightening to curling to giving you a salon-style blowout, all in a matter of minutes at home!

And there you have it, the perfect gifts that have just hit the market – good enough for gifting yourself or others this festive season!
