If you love fashion, there’s no way you’ve not heard of Natasha Poonawalla. She’s a socialite, businesswoman, philanthropist, and executive director of the Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest manufacturer of vaccines. She is also extremely popular for her exquisite fashion.
Natasha is frequently spotted at global events, wearing custom outfits that only she can pull off. A firm believer in opulent maximalism, she goes all out with every outfit she wears. Surprisingly, she rarely gets it wrong! Here’s a look at some of her most iconic looks.
Keeping The Victorian Vibes Alive
The philanthropist recently attended the Dior runway show in France, dressed in an ensemble that exuded major #VictorianVibes. The outfit was from the Dior Resort 2023 collection and matched MsVaccine’s OTT aesthetic perfectly. With a simple black hat, Natasha added a Spanish twist to the fierce black and romantic lace look.
Floral, But With A Twist!
Why should you wait for someone to give you flowers when you can simply wear them? Natasha wore a black gown by Schiaparelli to the Fashion Awards in London, which reminded me of a black swan swimming in a lake full of lotuses. The flower detailing looked so authentic, I’m sure Natasha grabbed all the attention on the red carpet.
Diwali With An Edge
Natasha’s Diwali 2022 outfit was nothing like your typical lehenga. She chose a multicoloured ensemble by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. It was adorned with colourful beads, sequins, and tassels and was a lesson in ‘how to stand out during the festive season!’
Go Green, Go Gucci
The fashionista picked a dramatic ensemble for the amFAR Gala in Cannes, an event to raise funds for AIDS research. The green Gucci gown was scene-stealing, replete with striking details. The corset bodice and the dramatic train have my heart!
A Met Gala Look To Remember
Natasha’s Met Gala 2022 look will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come. The entrepreneur nailed the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme while also incorporating a touch of Indian elegance by wearing a saree with bustier and ornate jewellery. Sabyasachi Mukherjee designed her golden saree and jewels, while the metallic bustier was by Schiaparelli. Absolutely Goddess-like!
A Whole Lot Of Dress
Natasha took the phrase “dream big” far too seriously when she stepped out for a charity event in New York in a massive black Balenciaga gown. While the larger-than-life outfit itself has swept me off my feet, Poonawalla’s Swarovski-embellished heart-shaped clutch will undoubtedly be on my wishlist (Till I can actually afford it!).
Watch Your Back!
Only Natasha could make a plain black gown look so regal. She made an exceptional style statement on New Year’s Eve 2021 by wearing a satin black gown from the Versace collection. This is one of my favourite looks of hers because of the low backless design and gold chain detailing!
Natasha’s fashion outings prove that only she can carry off such offbeat styles so effortlessly. BRB, manifesting a life like hers!
