Did You Know Mouni Roy Threatened To Cancel Her Performance At The Ambani Wedding?

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding has been one of the grandest weddings we have witnessed in a long time. From pre-engagement festivities in Switzerland to a gala wedding in Mumbai, the Ambanis went out of their way to make the functions memorable. (Who can really forget Maroon 5 and The Chainsmokers?)

The guest list was special too. All of Bollywood was invited to the functions and they participated in the ceremonies in different ways, from dancing with the baraat to performing at the sangeet. Interestingly, among many other Bollywood celebs, Mouni Roy also performed at the Ambani wedding, but things didn’t go smoothly with the Naagin actress.

Reportedly, actress Mouni Roy wasn’t willing to cooperate with the security guards on being asked to get her phone sealed. All guests had to get their phones sealed before entering the venue as per instructions of the Ambanis. Mouni, however, didn’t like this request and refused to do so.

The report said, “Mouni was not at all comfortable with her phone being locked, but, the condition was applicable to all the guests at the party and hence she had to agree to it.”

The actress finally gave in, but on entering the green room before her performance, she tried to remove the sticker from her phone. The security guards had to intervene and asked her to not do so. Then, Mouni lost her cool and started arguing with the security personnel. After they left, she tried to rip the sticker once again. The guards warned her again and she threatened them to cancel her performance at the last minute.

A source claimed, “After a long argument, Mouni finally had to give in and of course, as the payments were all made in advance, she had to perform at the wedding and so she did.”

Well, it is difficult to be parted with your phone, isn’t it? All’s well that ends well.

On the work front, Mouni will be seen in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. In addition, she will be seen opposite John Abraham in RAW, in Nawazuddin starrer Bole Chudiyan and in Rajkummar Rao starrer Made In China.
