While you’re still swooning over our unconventional bride, here’s presenting yet another beautiful look for the mehendi ceremony. With pastels being the hottest trend this season, we wouldn’t pick any other colour for the bride’s mehendi look. Light flowy fabrics and quirky jewellery is just what you need to add all the style and comfort to your mehendi look. Don’t forget to wear those sunnies if you’re planning on an afternoon ceremony!

Designers
MadSam TinZin
MadSam TinZin is the brainchild of four young designers from NIFT, Mumbai. Madhuritu- MAD, Saumya – SAM, Tina – TIN and Stanzin – ZIN, shared a mutual love for craftsmanship and quality, which later resulted in MadSam TinZin being established in 2012. They’re much loved by brides who want to opt for a modern minimalist look, and their main focus lies on comfort and flattering silhouettes. During the Lakme Fashion Week earlier this year, the brand showcased the beauty of the mountain dwellers of Ladakh with a range of ombre smock coats, draped silhouettes and asymmetrical dresses. From powder blue to lemon yellow, their pretty pastels added all the freshness to our September cover shoot.
Fooljhadi
Hand crafted jewellery with a distinct Indian flavour, Fooljhadi is the brainchild of Divya Sawhney and was established in the year 2013. The brand uses traditional embroidery techniques to create jewellery that is fresh and unique with a bit of quirk. Blending Indian art with western concept, the brand has quickly emerged as a favourite amongst brides-to-be.
Apala by Sumit
Handcrafted luxury jewellery with a contemporary edge, Sumit Sawhney created the brand Apala in the year 2006. Signifying ‘most beautiful’ in Sanskrit, Apala’s fine silver jewellery is combined with precious and semi-precious stones and layered with gold. Popular amongst celebrities, Sonam Kapoor was spotted wearing a pair of statement Apala earrings during a photoshoot at Cannes 2017. Blending bold with traditional, the statement pieces are not just eye grabbing but everlasting too.
