There is just one way of savouring Masaba Masaba Season 2. Binge-watch in one go and say ‘wow, I want that outfit’ every five minutes of the show. At least that’s what we did this Friday night! We took a break from the ongoing fashion week, slipped into our comfiest PJs, and soaked in the style fest that is Masaba Masaba Season 2. From Masaba Gupta’s structured crop tops to Neena Gupta’s delicate dresses, everything had us asking for more. Here are nine looks from the show that we want to cop stat:
Casual Chic 101
It’s apparent that Masaba has worked really hard for her show’s second instalment and the designer-turned-actor showed off her chiseled abs and toned bod like a true boss. Top on our wishlist are her structured crop tops. In fact, Masaba’s first outfit for the show comprises a corset-inspired denim crop top that she has worn with matching jeans, and a brown chequered blazer. The look aptly sets your mood for all the epic fashion that is to follow.
All Things Draped
Contrary to what they have projected in the show, Masaba is a very secure designer and does not mind shining the spotlight on her contemporaries. In fact, she has done exactly that for her last look of Masaba Masaba Season 2. In the final episode, Masaba presented her new collection in a 431-88 by Shweta Kapur skirt-shirt set and we have been obsessed with the look.
The Glorious Bridal Lehenga
In episode 2, Masaba decided to start ‘House Of Shaadi’ and that was exactly the moment when we knew that some wedding glamm was coming our way. We eagerly waited for Masaba to reveal the wedding lehenga she had designed and gurlll, did she kill it! From the soft pastel hues to the evocative floral motifs, everything about Barkha Singh’s wedding ensemble had our hearts. And we think that this will actually be a great pick for brides who’d like to keep it fuss-free but impactful.
Draped In Foiled Glory
It’s hard to refer to Masaba’s work as a designer without thinking of her signature foil print. Just like last season, we were anticipating some statement foil-print looks and Masaba gave us the perfect one with her indigo and gold saree. Oh, and did you notice how she wore her halter neck blouse with a long-sleeved shrug? Love!
Neenaji In The Cow Duo
Neenaji is a fashionista in her own right and for season 2, she unleashed her arsenal of delicate fabrics and fluid silhouettes that had us absolutely stunned. One of our favourites was her printed outfit for Masaba’s ten-year party which comprised a cow print slip dress and matching jacket. Stunning!
Masaba’s Blue Crop Top
Throughout the season, Masaba showed us how a designer dresses up every day and we were, of course, taking frantic notes. Take, for instance, this blue crop top, its padded shoulders, and statement hem. Isn’t adding a stand-out crop the perfect way to amp up even the comfiest and simplest of your outfits?
Keeping It Cool In A Kaftaan
The entire internet is talking about Masaba’s colour-pop kaftaan right now and we get why! It’s easy, it’s breezy and oh-so-pretty. If you feel like indulging in some retail therapy, we say go ahead!
Colour Blocking Done Right
To colour-block and still keep it understated is an art that Neenaji has mastered. Case in point—this ink blue and mustard look that we will wear in a heartbeat.
Blazer But Make It Printed
Masaba loves power dressing and therefore we got to see her in a lot of blazers and jacket fits this season. Our favourite one, however, came from Neenaji who had our jaws dropped with her cow-print ivory blazer and elaborate choker pairing. Queen!
Tell us fashion gworls, which one of these Masaba Masaba Season 2 looks did you like the most?
