Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai Ties The Knot In A Simple Nikah Ceremony & The Pics Are Just Too Precious
The shaadi season is upon us and with so many celeb wedding announcements in tow, this is definitely going to be an exciting one. In fact, noble laureate, Malala Yousafzai just kick-started the winter wedding season 2021-22 with a surprise nuptials announcement that has taken the internet by storm. The Pakistani activist tied the knot with Asser Malik, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s manager in a close-knit nikah ceremony and pictures from their wedding are going viral now.
Malala took to Twitter yesterday to make the announcement. She wrote “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”
Here is a sneak peek inside Malala’s Birmingham wedding and everything that we are loving about it:
Beauty In Simplicity
Staying true to her brand, Malala Yousafzai kept it simple albeit impactful for her nikah ceremony and opted for a Sienne-hued salwar suit set. The pure lawn Pakistani suit comprised an embroidered kurta, matching salwar, and a lace-trimmed chiffon dupatta. Malala finished off her look with a simple maang tikka, danglers, minimal bangles, and just a hint of nude lippie.
We love how Malala’s wedding finery reflects her spirit. She has always let her personality do the talking and she ensured the same at her wedding as well by opting for a simple nikah attire. There is something poetic about the earthen hue of her outfit that looks almost ethereal against the maple trees at the wedding venue.
Asser matched the bride in a sharp navy suit and a silk tie that complimented Malala’s outfit. Here, check out some more pictures from their wedding:
Well, don’t they look just perfect together? Here’s wishing Malala and Asser a lifetime of joy and happiness.
