Leave it to Malaika Arora to serve lewks, and how. Much of it is thanks to MUA Meghna Butani; someone who has consistently synced many of Arora’s ensembles with the most detailed work on the eyes (especially off-late). Most of these look are poppy, bright, and ideal for our summer-time mood board. Ahead: a couple of them that I absolutely love and will continue to obsess over.
Hi, Barbie!
MUA Meghna Bhutani didn’t let Malaika’s show-stopping outfit subdue her glamm at all. Arora’s Barbie-esque glamm was composed of two elements: poppy pink eyeshadow paired with hot-pink feline flicks. The end result was, as you can see, stunning.
Easy, Breezy, & Peachy
Malaika’s recent run-in with a playful, rusty orange is a look to bookmark for summer. The colour is indicative of the light, breezy nature of the season. Simply paint your lids orange, throw in subtle cat-eye flicks on each lid, and that’s that.
Bombastic, Blue Side Eye
Mala doesn’t shy away from a slight play of colour under the eyes. The light-handed flick of blue adds an element of playfulness to the look; brightening up the eyes in a way a classic jet-black stroke cannot. Trade in your run-off-the-mill kohl with something colourful right now and thank me later.
Drama? She’s Here
Malaika’s affair with blue lives on; but on the upper lids this time around. Notice how Meghna has stacked it over a jet-black stroke beautifully. Even the falsies play into the drama of the look.
Rose Gold FTW
Talk about coordinating your outfit’s colour palette with your glamm. A shimmery rose-gold on Malaika’s lids along with a pair of cat eye wings tie it all together. The look is understated and easy on the eyes.
