Over the past few months, legends and newcomer Bollywood stars have been photographed with a person who seems to be everywhere.
Naturally, the question on every Bolly fan’s mind has been “Who is Orry?” Well, in the interest of making an ambitious connection, just like the ‘no makeup makeup look’ that’s been subtly gracing the faces of our favourite celebrities – Orry too seems to have mastered the art of being present without making a loud statement.
When it comes to Orry – he’s the son of a pretty big businessman and is one of those people who always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He also has a lot in common with the biggest celebrity look of the season: it’s all about mastering the art of effortless charm, be it mingling at star-studded events or achieving that ‘natural’ glow on your face.
2023 has proved to be the year of minimal makeup. With the rise of numerous skincare trends, celebrities are taking to the ‘gram to show off their #nofliter skin and even opting for the “less is more” approach when it comes to big events. From Deepika Padukone to Kareena Kapoor to Alia Bhatt – everyone seems to be on this bandwagon – and you should be too.
How To Ace The Makeup Trend That’s As Popular As Orry
Skincare First
The most important part of this routine is skincare. Make sure your skin is clean and hydrated. Apply your serums, moisturisers and eye creams for a dewy base that will hold your makeup in place.
Skin Tints Are The New Foundations
The magic of this look is that it’s easy to re-create and looks effortlessly cool – so the idea is to not spend too much time concealing, blending or perfecting. A lot of celebrities like Alia Bhatt have been lauding the benefits of a skin tint, as opposed to a primer + foundation combination and I’m with them on this one.
After your skincare, go in with a super lightweight tinted moisturiser like the Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow All-In or the Makeup Revolution Superdewy Tinted Moisturiser.
Skip The Concealer, Move On To Brows
The look does work with a concealer, so I will recommend one but you can choose to skip it as well. Instead, focus on brushing and shaping your brows. A great brow-spiration is Deepika who always keeps hers – natural and defined. You can use the MAC Eye Brows Styler to fill up sparse areas while following the natural shape of your brows.
The Most Important Step: Eyes
When it comes to this look, opt for a neutral shade that is close to your skin tone and apply it to your eyelid. You can go in with a darker brown inside the crease to add more dimension.
A good kajal really pulls everything together and I really recommend the Beautif-eye Kajal – Intense Black Kajal by The Ayurveda Co. I’ve been using and loving this for a while – it’s got a pretty rich pigment that lasts quite a while. Just make sure to apply it on the waterline and not inside. Finish with a few coats of mascara!
Pro Tip: Add a little bit of shimmer to the centre of your eyes to make your whole look a little brighter.
Blush, Bronzer And Highlight
Use a natural blush on the apples of your cheeks. If you wish, you can also lightly contour your face with a bronzer, focusing on the hollows of your cheeks, temples, and jawline. The PIXI On-the-Glow Cream Bronzer can be used as a blush AND contour – it’s truly a product that can do it all!
I never leave the house without highlighting and I really think it can make or break your look so add a subtle highlighter to the high points of your face – cheekbones, brow bone, and the bridge of your nose.
Lips, Lips, Lips
Finally, go in with a natural nude or pink lip. Opt for a tinted lip balm or a sheer glittery lip gloss in a shade that’s close to your natural lip colour for the best effect. The glossier, the better. One of my recent faves is the Get Glazed lip gloss in 24K by Flossy Cosmetics.
And that’s it. Trust me, this look is going to be everywhere this season, just like Orry!
