When it comes to fashion, Kriti Sanon has no fear. She loves to experiment, and even if the outfit fails, her confidence compensates. The actress is currently promoting her upcoming film, Adipurush, in which she plays Sita. As a result, her promotional attire has consisted of some of the most exquisite traditional pieces. Her most recent look, though, is our favourite! She recently stepped out in a lehenga set with the most beautiful Ramayana detail.
Kriti looked like a dream in a custom-made beige lehenga suit designed by Sukriti and Akriti Grover. The outfit featured an anarkali top paired with a meticulous lehenga and a dupatta with a rusty pink border. Stylist Sukriti Grover spruced up the ensemble by draping a hand-embroidered Kalamkari Ayodhya Tale shawl from Shaza. The wonderfully exquisite shawl is the most lovely ode to the Ramayana.
The Ayodhya Tales-inspired shawl is a timeless mythological piece that took over two years to conceptualise and over 6,000 hours to complete. The artists developed the drawings so precisely by closely observing literature and sources. The shawl depicts palaces, attire, plants, birds, and creatures that are true to the paintings but have been recreated by the designer. It features four significant sequences from the Ramayana, namely Panchavati, Swayamvar, Ashok Vatika, and Ram Darbaar, which have been thoroughly laden.
The shawl literally added magic to the understated and solemn beige lehenga set. Kriti finished the look with a hefty gold choker, matching bangles, and massive studs. Her hairstyle, in addition to the shawl, was the highlight of the ensemble. Kriti’s hair was styled by Aasif Ahmed into a stunning braid that was elegantly adorned.
This is definitely one of our favourite looks by Kriti Sanon. It is also proof that Kriti was made to play the role of Sita!
