Kriti Sanon’s Go-To Serum Has The Heaviest Price Tag Ever

Kriti Sanon’s A.M. routine is wholesome and well-rounded, but it doesn’t qualify as low-maintenance. I say this because of the 3rd product Sanon introduces us to in her routine: a Vitamin C-enriched serum that she simply pats onto the skin for a couple of seconds.

While Kriti doesn’t mention the name of the serum in the video, the first thing I did was dig around and find it. You best believe I was successful. But the price tag that accompanied the product surprised me.

The Unbelievably Expensive Serum Behind Kriti’s Glow

The C E Ferulic Antioxidant Serum Anti-Ageing Prevention is an infusion of three skin-loving ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic Acid. The trio helps combat discolouration as well as lines and wrinkles; promoting a brighter, even-toned look. But how does each ingredient fulfill these expectations? Read on.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is ultra-soothing and excels at moisturising the skin. It relieves dryness and discomfort instantly. It’s chock-full of anti-inflammatory abilities that treat UV-induced damage, rosacea, acne, and so on. It can even treat dark, puffy under-eyes in the process.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C’s glow-inducing abilities add to the serum’s efficacy. Vitamin C brightens the complexion and fights pigmentation, spots, and dullness effectively. The vitamin does this by exfoliating the skin.

Since it’s power-packed with antioxidants, it stimulates the production of collagen and diminishes wrinkles and lines over time. Vitamin C is an anti-inflammatory too. This indicates that it can calm inflammation and redness safely and effectively.

Another reason why it’s a sought-after ingredient is that it can treat acne. This is because it contains Citric Acid; since it’s acidic in nature, it dislodges dirt, build-up, and oils from the pores. This cleanses your skin and fights off infections.

Ferulic Acid

Ferulic Acid is what stabilises Vitamin C — it makes the antioxidant shelf-stable. That’s why you’ll find the formula complementing Vitamin C often; as seen in the case of this serum as well.

But Ferulic’s role isn’t limited to supporting other ingredients. Not dissimilar to what Vitamin C does, this antioxidant fights off free-radical damage and prevents your skin from ageing prematurely. Lines and wrinkles are smoothed over simultaneously.

It lightens darker spots by suppressing the production of pigment in the skin. Just like Vitamin C, it has anti-inflammatory properties that enable it to fight acne and hyperpigmentation.

Apart from the fact that I’d have to save up for months to even contemplate buying this serum, I’m going to go ahead and try anyway.
