Kriti Sanon Breaks Her Silence On Adipurush Backlash

Adipurush is all social media can talk about right now…But not in a positive light! The film is getting bashed for its dialogues, VFX, screenplay, costumes and so much more. In all honesty, it is hard to see people slamming a film that the makers have made with love and hard work. But Kriti Sanon is putting on a brave face amidst all the hate.

Kriti shared a series of videos of the audience’s reaction to Adipurush on the ‘Gram. The videos from the theatres showed people ‘cheering and clapping’ as they watched the film. Along with it, Kriti wrote, “Focusing on the cheers and claps! Jai Siya Ram (sic)” Scroll down to take a look:

I am glad to see how Kriti is focusing on the positives of the film. Keep that chin up, girlfriend!

What Went Wrong With Adipurush?

One of the biggest setbacks for Om Raut’s retelling of the Ramayana was its dialogues. Cinephiles complained about the movie’s ‘tapori‘ dialogues that take away the essence of the big-budget multilingual saga. Especially, Lord Hanuman’s dialogues in the ‘Lanka Dahan’ sequence caused a lot of controversy on social media. After all, who can imagine Lord Hanuman saying—‘Kapda tere baap ka,Tel tere baap ka. Aag bhi tere baap ki. Toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki’, ‘Mere Sapole ne tumhare Sheshnaag ko lamba kar diya, abhi toh pura pitara bhara pada hai’, or even ‘Jali na.. Jiski jalti hai.’ Take a look:

Later, Adipurush’s dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla confirmed that the team has “revise some of the dialogues” of the film. He shared a statement— “For me there is nothing greater than your feelings. I can give countless arguments in favour of my dialogues, but this will not lessen your pain. Me and the producer-director of the film have decided that we will revise some of the dialogues which are hurting you and they will be added to the film this week“

Let’s hope Kriti has more reasons to celebrate Adipurush after the revised dialogues. Meanwhile, I am praying for better dialogue in the film.
