What a Braveheart! Kirron Kher Fights Cancer Without Taking a Break From Work & We Are in Awe

With her remarkable spirit, Bollywood actress Kirron Kher has become an inspiration for many. Earlier this year, her husband Anupam Kher shared that the veteran star was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (cancer of plasma cells) and is undergoing treatment for the same. However, this has not kept the actress from following her daily routine.

In a recent interview, she shared that she is working every day while going through the treatment. Kirron said, “I’ve been working even when I was in the hospital, going through treatment. I’ve been in touch with people on my phone all along. In fact, I recently inaugurated an oxygen plant in Chandigarh, virtually. But my doctor isn’t letting me travel anywhere, especially by air, since my immunity is slightly compromised due to the treatment.”

She further added, “It’s not the ideal situation to be in. Par yeh zindagi hai(This is life). One learns to deal with them and carry on. There’s no way out except to treat it. Nobody likes going through the treatment or its side effects.”

Kirron Kher has certainly left us in awe of her positive attitude and commitment to her work. What a strong woman!

The Devdas star’s Instagram is also proof of her devotion to her work. Apart from being an actress, she is also a Member of Parliament and she takes both duties seriously. 

The actress’s cancer diagnosis came as a shock to her fans. Back in April, Anupam Kher had shared a statement about her health. He stated, “Just so that rumours don’t get the better of a situation Sikandar and I would like to inform everyone that Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure she will come out of this stronger than before. We are very blessed that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors. She’s always been a fighter and takes things head on”

We are hoping that the actress gets well soon and we get to see her on the silver screen again!
