A new year is like a clean slate. Perhaps this is why setting resolutions is one ritual everyone looks forward to. Unfortunately, New Year’s resolutions have become synonymous with restrictive dieting, unsustainable workouts, and all manner of unattainable goals. However, we are here to make things easy for you all by spilling the beans about our resolutions for 2023. We decided to ask around the brilliant folks of Popxo about their new year plans and got some exciting answers.
Bye, Bye Procrastination!
This year I really want to work out more, but I always procrastinate and forget about it. So, my plan is to include more mini-breaks during the day and move around instead of just sitting idle. I have already gifted myself a skipping rope and I hope to use it whenever I am feeling bored instead of binge-watching another trashy reality show. Hoping to see a fitter version of myself in 2023!

Agenda For 2023: Control
I really want to work on controlling my shopping and binge-eating impulses. I am really hoping to save money and practice mindful eating. Also want to get back to working out and make up for the postpartum weakness that’s still stopping me from being as active and alert as I used to be.

Workout Mode On
I really want to take time out to work on my body and get fitter. I am planning to start this in the first month itself, which would be a perfect birthday gift for me! I would also like to travel and explore as many places as possible. Hoping to make the best out of 2023.

Time For Some ‘Me Time’
This year, I want to take more time out for myself. To do things that I genuinely enjoy other than my work and put the tick mark on the list of things that I have been planning for a long time like travelling. So, here’s wishing 2023 to be a wonderful year filled with joy.

First Priority? Me!
This year, I want to prioritise myself and adopt the IDGAF attitude. I intend to boost my self-esteem. I also want to save money and avoid resorting to retail therapy whenever a minor inconvenience arises. In addition, I’d like to travel more this year (if I actually end up saving money). Let’s hope 2023 is a lot better and nicer than 2022!

Let’s Slow Down Folks
I spent 2022 checking off boxes, chasing one task after another. My two cents on the exercise? It’s not worth it! For 2023, “slow down” is written in bold at the top of my to-do list with no other entries whatsoever. I plan to slowly bite into the year, savour each moment, and make the most of the simple joys of life.

In 2023, my only resolution is to work on my mental health. So besides going to therapy when I need it, I want to journal every day. And other than doing an hour of yoga, I also want to include meditation. (Best part? This gives me a good excuse to buy a cute new journal and some workout clothes!)
