Whenever Kate Middleton steps out, she makes sure her fashion game is on point! The Princess of Wales returned to the BAFTA Awards after a 3-year-long hiatus and her gown as well as the earrings became a major point of discussion! As unbelievable as it may sound, Kate wore Zara earrings on the red carpet!
Nope, not kidding! Scroll down to find out more about her look:
Making A Point With Sustainability
At a time when fashion trends are constantly changing, Kate chose to restyle an old outfit and won with sustainability!
The Princess wore a white Alexander McQueen one-shoulder gown for the occasion, which she first wore to the 2019 BAFTAs. The dress originally had floral applique around the shoulder, but Kate updated it with a cape-style sleeve to reflect current trends. A perfect lesson on how to upcycle while also staying in vogue!
Bringing Back Long Gloves
In 2019, Kate wore the pleated gown with a diamond bracelet and carried a matching white clutch. In 2023, she chose to wear long black opera gloves and a black clutch, breaking the monotony. The gloves were definitely a win for me!
The Earrings That Stole The Show!
While the upcycled outfit and the black gloves made a breathtaking combo, it was actually Kate’s statement floral earrings that stole the show.
Given her royal status, you’d think the earrings would be worth a fortune. During her 2019 appearance, she wore the outfit with diamond danglers that belonged to Princess Diana. But this year’s stunning floral earrings are from Zara and cost Rs 1,890. The pair has been out of stock ever since the news broke, but you can save them just in case they’re back in stock!
Kate Middleton has definitely inspired us to dig out our old dresses and rework them to fit current trends! She’s also proved that if you carry yourself with grace, the cost of your clothing doesn’t matter.
