Kasautii Zindagii Kay 101: How To Save Yourself In A Fire, Robbery & Kidnapping

Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Ekta Kapoor’s modern-day retelling of the classic love story just got more exciting this week! Ever since Komolika’s entry, she has been AWOL. Sorry to disappoint you guys, but I haven’t seen her since the last thoughts piece I wrote. However, the Basu family on the other hand been through a lot of drama. On Diwali, their house got attacked by a family of robbers who turned into kidnappers, who absolutely detest Anurag Basu. Yup, that escalated quickly. Kasautii Zindagii Kay, however, did provide me with some great pointers on how to deal with this situation. 

1. Learn Football

If you, like Anurag Basu, are an amazing football player, you will end up saving the day. Once you are good at kicking the football, you can kick a gun out of your kidnapper’s hands, kick the furniture around… etc. Also, your mother will brag about your strategy skills to the kidnappers because you are the captain of your football team. Sigh. Can it get any more outrageous? 

2. Save The Girl

If you do everything in your power to save the girl, including putting 20 other people’s lives in danger then you are the true knight in shining armour. Of course, the irony of it all was that after all the drama Anurag put up, Prerna ended up saving the day. 

3. Badmouth Your Kidnappers

Anurag’s mom has some real anger issuer and that reflected in the episodes of the last week. Not only did she spend a good five minutes telling the kidnappers that mera Anurag aayega, she also annoyed everyone by bragging about his athleticism.

P.S. this happened when 20 of her family members, including her husband and daughters were tied up behind her with a fragile rope any toddler could break through. 

4. Be Good At Physics 

Water conducts electricity, and that’s the golden rule that rescued everyone! Prerna saved the day by electrocuting the kidnappers that were standing in a puddle of water. Sounds complicated? It really was. But the Basu’s stupidity got the better of them, as they got caught again while busy embracing in their victory. Itna pyaar. 

5. Be A Hero

The whole point of a kidnapping, robbery and a fire (referring to the first week of Kasautii) is to be a hero. You do not care about the people who are captured but need to save the day overall. In the words of Anurag Basu’s guru, Varun Dhawan, “Main Tera Hero,” is all that matters.
