Kareena Kapoor Khan is the queen of casual outfits. The actress’s wardrobe staple has always been a ganji or a simple t-shit, but she’s always managed to elevate her look with her makeup.
White tank tops and tees are a classic wardrobe staple especially in summer. So knowing what makeup to wear with them will make all the difference. That’s why I’m taking a page from Kareena and other Bolywood stars’ books, who’ve elevated the basic white tee with their makeup.
Focus On The Eyes Like Kareena Kapoor Khan
Smokey eyeliner is Kareena’s signature makeup look, but this time round, she gave it a twist. I see a brown eyeshadow blended in the crease lines to highlight her eyes and focus on her lash lines. This also created a smokey effect. Black eyeliner on her water lines and two coats of mascara further defined her eyes.
To apply brown eyeshadow as precisely as Bebo on the crease and lash lines, I’m using the Sigma Beauty Pencil Brush – E30.
Stay True To Your Skin Like Shanaya Kapoor
Shanaya opted for a natural-looking base that almost resembles her makeup-free skin. I bet she’s wearing only a skin tint on her face and neck. Concealer seems to be applied only on areas needing more coverage.
I choose the Maybelline New York Fit Me Fresh Tint to get true-to-skin coverage.
Pick A Poppy Lipstick Like Khushi Kapoor
Smokey brown eyeshadow and a pop of bright colour on the lips is Khushi’s way of glamming up her simple white tank top. Her lilac nude matte lipstick really brought her whole look together.
I found the exact lip shade Khushi is wearing: the Manish Malhotra Soft Matte Lipstick – Lavender Dream.
Go Monochrome Like Janhvi Kapoor
Janhvi’s makeup is courtesy of a single makeup product. A lip & cheek tint is all anybody needs to achieve her look.
For such a gorgeous flush of colour on the lips, eyes and cheeks, I love using the Etude Dear Darling Water Gel Lip & Cheek Tint.
Try The Y2K Nude Lip Like Ananya Panday
Annanya’s nude lips are anything but basic. Her toasty nude lipstick (that was popular in the ’90s) was paired with a winged eyeliner. Clearly Gen Z is bringing back the ’90s!
I’m using the Simply Nam Isha – Almond Pink Hydrating Lip Butter to get Ananya’s lipstick shade..
I can’t wait to use these tips on rotation with my basic white tee this summer!
