Kasautii Zindagii Kay is undoubtedly one of the most popular shows on Indian television. Late last year, Ekta Kapoor decided to give the show, which featured some iconic characters like Komolika, Prerna Sharma and Anurag Basu, a makeover. The new cast (Parth Samthaan as Anurag, Erica Fernandes as Prerna and Hina Khan as Komolika) made quite an impact, especially Hina’s portrayal of Komolika, the troublemaker. After her exit, the audience was excited for the entry of Mr Bajaj.
Reports suggested that Ekta had narrowed it down to three actors — Siddharth Shukla, Hiten Tejwani, and Karan Wahi. However, Karan Singh Grover (KSG) made his television comeback with the iconic role of Mr Bajaj. And, we have to say, he did a swell job of playing this grey character. After all, it wasn’t easy to fill Ronit Roy’s shoes.
And now for those of you who loved KSG in this role, we’ve got some sad news. He is leaving the show because his track is coming to an end. Recently, Karan took to Instagram to share a picture of his farewell party with the Kasautii team. He wrote, “Thank you for an awesome time and such an amazing farewell!! It was a pleasure working with ya’ll! Thank you @ektaravikapoor We Missed you yesterday @kingsonyaa.”
A few months ago, Hina left the show to pursue her Bollywood dreams. The TRPs suddenly dropped because, of course, no love story is complete without a villain. Viewers started missing the troublemaker, so Ekta had to resort to plan B (of twists and turns). However, nothing seems to have worked. While KSG did his best, viewers surely needed Komo back. Aamna Sharif recently entered the show as the new Komo. Whether or not she’ll be able to own the role just like Hina did is yet to be seen.
But, we will surely miss Mr Bajaj. Who knows, maybe he will come back too. After all, in tellywood, everyone can come back, even those who’ve died.
