Just when we thought it won’t get any weirder on Indian TV, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal proved us wrong. A blatant copy of The Vampire Diaries, the show failed to impress the audience who found it utterly cringy. Even the show’s stellar star cast which included Karan Kundrra, Gashmeer Mahajani, and Reem Sameer Shaikh couldn’t save it.
Just recently, it was reported that the show is all set to go off-air soon. However, it looks like things aren’t as bad as one might think. Despite severe trolling and backlash, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal has managed to get decent TRPs. In fact, the show might even return for a second season. While we can’t say anything about the viewers, the show’s cast is surely praying for it to happen.
Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’s leading lady, Reem recently opened up about it in an interview. She said, “All of us knew it from the start that it was a finite series. A story may stay on topic when it has a set ending. We have all been aware of the show’s endpoint from the beginning. We are appreciative of the audience’s outpouring of affection. Just keep hoping and praying for a season 2.”
She further added, “I was mentally prepared for this day. Somewhere I am happy that the story is not being dragged and prolonged unnecessarily. So, I have mixed feelings about the show ending now.”
When Reem Talked About The Age Gap
The age gap between Reem and Karan Kundra also became a topic of discussion after the announcement of the show’s cast. Reem talked about it in an interview and shared, “In my mind, I am just 4 years old and if I am going somewhere there’s no talk it is not possible. I don’t approach our work in such a way. I don’t think like that. It all depends on what people perceive you to be.”
She added, “Honestly, I don’t know why it is so much discussed when it happens on television, because in Bollywood it has been happening for the longest time. I can still see Shah Rukh Khan working with Alia Bhatt who has a huge age gap between them, but people accept that.“
NGL, we have mixed feelings about the idea of Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal Season 2. But it won’t be that bad as long as they keep giving an ample content to make memes on, right?
