After Praising Her Film, Karan Johar Talks About The Meanest Comment Kangana Made On Him
I always assumed that hell would freeze over before Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar would ever become friends. The two stars have had the most volatile rivalry in Bollywood. While KJo tried to be subtle when he spoke about Kangana, she never minced her words. Recently, Karan opened up on the meanest thing someone said to him and it came from Kangana.
On a show called Express Adda, Karan was quizzed by Ananya Panday about the highs and lows of his life. In the conversation, she asked him, “the meanest thing” someone said about his work. Without skipping a beat, the filmmaker replied, “Oh my god! It’s like someone said, ‘See my talent, see his films.’ And, I was like, ‘Ok!'”
ICYMI, it was Kangana who gave this controversial statement about Karan. Back in March 2019, the Queen star took a dig at Karan and said, “He will never be where I am… I mean look at my talent and look at his movies.”
It is pretty apparent that Karan was referring to Kangana’s comments in his recent interaction. I wonder if the actress is going to react to his statement!
Karan Praises Kangana
Interestingly, in the same interaction, Karan extended an olive branch to Kangana. The filmmaker admitted that he’s excited for her upcoming film Emergency.
But Karan’s olive branch was snapped in two by Kangana. She responded to his comment with, “Ha ha last time when he said he was excited to see Manikarnika, the worse smear campaign of my life was unleashed upon me on its releasing weekend … almost all main actors working in the film were paid to sling mud on me and sabotage the film and suddenly the most successful weekend of my life was turned in to a living nightmare for me … Haha I am scared now very scared … because he is excited again …“
Well, it looks like Karan and Kangana aren’t going to be Bollywood’s new BFFs anytime soon. But let’s hope they are at least cordial or is it too much to wish for?
