Karan Johar Shares A Funny Anecdote From Ranbir-Alia’s Mehendi & It’s Making Us Laugh Out Loud
There’s something really special about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding pics. The intimate gathering and happy faces make us believe that the couple’s family members and loved ones had a blast on their special day. The latest buzz has it that the two have sold their wedding streaming rights to an OTT platform and honestly, we cannot wait to watch the film. Karan Johar revealed one of the most hilarious things that happened to him during their mehendi ceremony and we would love to have a glimpse of it in the movie as well.
In a new promo of the reality show, Hunarbaaz Desh Ki Shaan, judge KJo revealed his experience of applying henna for the first time to his hand. It’s equal parts funny and messy, and you need to listen to it stat.
In the clip, host Bharti Singh teased the filmmaker and said that he was the first person to share what he was wearing in all of Ranbir and Alia’s wedding ceremonies. To that, Karan’s co-judge, Parineeti Chopra, took his hand and showed the viewers the beautiful mehendi he had put on it. Interestingly, he had decided that the first time he would apply henna, it would be at Alia’s wedding.
“I want to say what happened with me at the mehendi ceremony. I had applied mehendi for the first time. I had thought when Alia will get married I’ll apply mehendi for sure. I had already decided that. I am not used to mehendi on my hand and it was very hot too,” KJo added. That’s really sweet, but what happened next will surely crack you up. After applying henna, he had a hard time managing it and somehow ended up smearing it all over his face!
Karan recalled the incident and said, “Maine mehendi laga di aur phir mai apna paseena pochne laga. Mai bhool gaya mere haathon mei mehendi thi, toh saara mehendi jo hai mere sarr pe, mere maathe pe, mere chehre pe lag gaya. And immediately mujhe wash karna padd gaya (I applied mehendi and then started wiping my sweat. I forgot there was mehendi on my palms and it got smeared on my head, forehead, and face. I had to immediately wash it).” Thankfully, Alia’s MUA applied some makeup on KJo’s face and hid the henna stains well.
That’s one hilarious incident, and we hope to see exactly how it happened in #Ralia’s wedding film!
