Karan Johar Just Quit Twitter For This Heartbreaking Reason & We Are Worried

There was a time when Twitter was used for sharing information, witty banter, and trending updates. Cut to 2022, the microblogging platform has turned into a playground of hatred, trolling, and unsolicited comments. Be it celebs or non-celebrities, there’s hardly anyone who has been spared from trolling. Over the years, many stars have quit Twitter because of this and now Karan Johar’s name has been added to the list.

Karan shared his final goodbye on Twitter today but did not reveal his reasons. His tweet read, “Making space for more positive energies only and this is step one towards that. Goodbye Twitter!”

We are really heartbroken to see Karan go. It’s a shame that someone has to leave a social media platform because of all the negativity. It’s even more awful that a bunch of people, who hold no accountability for their actions, are responsible for it. We truly hope Karan finds the happiness he is looking for and that being away from Twitter helps him.

Karan’s Love-Hate Relationship With Social Media

In an earlier interview, KJo spoke about how he has stopped putting his thoughts on social media due to the trolls. The filmmaker said, “Eventually it’s a platform that you are leveraging to build a connection with the world outside and it’s my job. I’m not here to disassociate myself from my filmmaking or for my storytelling narrative which is the most critical part of who I’m.”

“Even now when I scan through the comment section I only stare where the hearts are there,” he added.
