Kangana Ranaut’s Claims About Ranbir & Alia’s Marriage Remind Us Why She Got Banned On Twitter
As one of the most powerful Bollywood jodis, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been attracting a lot of attention. Both industry insiders and outsiders have a lot to say about the couple as well as their marriage. Just recently, Taapsee Pannu made an indirect dig at their marriage during an Insta AMA. When asked about her marriage plans, the actress sarcastically replied, “So, when am I getting married? I am not pregnant as yet. So, it’s not anytime soon.” But it didn’t stop just there. After Taapsee, Kangana Ranaut posted stories about a certain celeb couple that sounded a lot like #RaLia and made some shocking claims.
Kangana took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “A farzi (fake) husband wife jodi, who live on separate floors and pretend to be a couple are spreading fake news about movie announcements which aren’t being made also calling a brand owned by Myntra their own … besides no one wrote about how wife and daughter was snubbed from a recent family trip, while so-called husband was texting me begging and pleading to meet him ….This farzi jodi needs to be exposed…”
The Queen actress didn’t stop just there and added, “This is what happens when you marry for movie promotions/ money/ work and not for love …this actor who married under the pressure of a mafia daddy was promised a movie trilogy in return for marrying papa ki pari, movie trilogy has been canned and now he is desperately trying to break free from the fake marriage… But sadly no takers for him now…. He must focus on his wife and daughter…this is India ek baar shaadi ho gayi toh ho gayi… ab sudhar jao.”
Well, these are all tall claims and most of them sound like baseless assumptions. It looks like the Myntra brand Kangana is referring to is Alia Bhatt’s Ed-a-Mamma which recently made headlines after reports of a 300-crore acquisition by Reliance Brands started doing rounds. While the brand might be available on Myntra, it was indeed founded by Alia who is serving as its Director right now. This is just one of the examples of how most of these claims have no solid ground.
I really wish Kangana had done her research before writing long rambling stories about this “Farzi couple”. But to comment on their marriage and assume it happened only ‘coz of some “false promises” is simply unacceptable. If everyone in the film industry started making such loose comments on each other’s personal life, things will spiral into a wild zone in no time.
As big stars, these celebs certainly need to use social media more responsibly because everything they post is watched by millions of people. Here’s hoping, they learn to separate professional rivalry with personal lives and realise how each one of their posts can impact the other!
