It was recently announced that Netflix is releasing its first reality dating series and NGL, we have been so psyched about it. We’re pretty sure that it’s going to have plenty of drama and romance because let’s admit it, where’s the fun without these elements? Speaking of drama and entertainment, a new reality show is all set to release in India soon. TBH, we think that it will give all the existing reality series a run for their money because we can already guess that it’s going to be epic. And, we have all the reasons in the world to say that.
For starters, the show is a desi version of Temptation Island. For the unversed, this is the series that you get when Too Hot To Handle meets MTV Love School. It revolves around complicated relationships, real-life couples, and good-looking singles. Basically, the couples have to live with the singles and test the strength of their bond. If you can already imagine this series giving Splitsvilla a run for its money in the ‘relationship drama’ department, then we don’t blame you at all!
Next, this reality series also marks the debut of a popular B-town actress on an OTT platform. Any guesses? Hint: She’s soon going to direct a biopic on a famous leader.
Yes, we’re talking about Kangana Ranaut!
The actress is all set to judge the contestants, give her verdicts, and make the series super intense. A little birdie tells us that the official formalities are already complete and she will start the shoot soon. “Kangana is going to be the host of a reality show which will premiere on an OTT platform. The show will be an Indian adaptation of the American reality show Temptation Island, and the actress has already signed on the dotted lines and is all set to kickstart the shoot,” they said.
NGL, given Kangana’s outspoken nature and, if we may, flair for drama, we think that she’s going to be one hell of a host.
On the work front, apart from this show, the actress is gearing up for the release of Thalaivi that has been delayed due to the pandemic. She has also begun the shooting of her upcoming movie, Dhaakad in Budapest, Hungary. The movie is a spy thriller that will also star Arjun Rampal in the lead and will revolve around serious issues like child trafficking and crimes against women.
Well, with several serious movies in the pipeline, we’re glad that we will soon get to see Kangana in a fun reality show, being herself. While the release date and the OTT platform is yet to be announced, we’re sure that the wait is going to be worth it!
