Kangana Ranaut is bold, fierce and outspoken. Every time she appears for an interview, we know she’s going to take a dig at someone in the industry. Controversy’s favourite child, Kangana is known to make sharp statements that have irked fellow celebrities in Bollywood.
Of late, Kangana has been giving statements in the media about Alia Bhatt. Last month, she called out Alia and beau Ranbir for being irresponsible and dumb for not talking about politics but being vocal about their love. It didn’t stop there. She called Alia Karan Johar’s pet, “If she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being KJo’s puppet, then I don’t consider her successful. I told her if she is only focussing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value.”
Kangana has been upset with Alia ever since the Raazi actress missed the screening for Kangana’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. Kangana said, “If I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film?”
While Alia apologised to Kangana saying, “I hope she doesn’t dislike me and I don’t think she dislikes me. I don’t think I have done anything intentionally to upset her. If I have, I will apologise to her on a personal level. She is very outspoken and it takes courage to be that way. So yes, what can I say, I don’t want to upset anybody.”
However, Kangana isn’t in any mood to accept Alia’s apology. The Queen actress recently attacked Alia again. A website ran a poll to know audiences’ opinion on who’s more likely to win the award for the best actress this year between Alia for Gully Boy and Kangana for Manikarnika. Kangana beat Alia in the poll. When the website contacted Kangana to know her reaction on beating Alia in the poll, Kangana said something unexpected, “I am embarrassed…What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ….same snappy muh phat girl (outspoken)… Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media has taken filmy kids too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised.”
That was really harsh, Kangana.
The nation is raving about Alia’s portrayal of Safeena in Gully Boy. Her performance has received a great response from both fans and critics, but looks like Alia doesn’t have Kangana’s approval.
