Don’t Compare With Lallu Panju: Kangana Ranaut Says No To Films With Khans, Kapoors, KJo
The Queen of Jhansi, pardon, the modern-day Queen of Jhansi aka Kangana Ranaut has declared war against Bollywood’s A-listers. The actress and her sister-cum-manager, Rangoli Chandel, have been vocal about everything that’s wrong with the industry including nepotism and lately, “chaploosi” (bootlicking).

In a series of tweets, Rangoli wrote that Kangana has willingly said no to films with all the Khans including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, as well as others such as Ranbir Kapoor and producer Karan Johar. At first, we thought this blacklisting was out of her differences with these celebrities. But apparently, Miss Ranaut wants to take the road less travelled unlike other B-town actresses, who her sister calls “Lallu Panju” (meritless). And for this reason, other names including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali have also made it to her list of ‘Things to boycott in 2019’.
This escalated when Rahul Verma, a film aficionado, shared a list of Box Office’ pull of actresses on Twitter and included Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Shraddha Kapoor alongside Kangana Ranaut. To this, Rangoli said this isn’t real competition implying that the said actresses don’t belong in the same list as Kangana and can’t be compared to her.
In her opinion, actresses like Alia and Deepika are successful because they ride on big names. ‘Big names’ being all the actors and filmmakers that Kangana “has willingly said no to” working with, in the tweet above. Furthermore, she said:
Phew! That’s a lot of information for a Monday.
