The Diljit Dosanjh & Kangana Ranaut Spat Just Got Uglier & Twitter Is Having A Field Day!

Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh have declared a war of words on Twitter. And it all started when Kangana misidentified an elderly woman at the ongoing farmer’s protest as Bilkis Banos, fondly known as Shaheen Bagh Dadi. She had tweeted, “Ha ha ha, she is the same dadi who featured in Time magazine for being the most powerful Indian… And she is available in 100 rupees. Pakistani journos have hijacked international PR for India in an embarrassing way. We need our own people to speak for us internationally.”

Though Kangana deleted the tweet shortly after realising her mistake, her gesture did not sit well with singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh. He shared a video of the woman who had appeared in the protest, Mahinder Kaur, and asked Kangana to respect the elderly. He tweeted, “Respected MAHINDER KAUR JI Ah Sunn La Ni With Proof @KanganaTeam Banda Ena V Ni Anna Hona Chaida.. Kush v Boli Turi jandi aa .. (Listen to this proof, @KanganaTeam. One should not be this blind. She keeps says anything).”

Ideally, one should have accepted the mistake and moved on, but Kangana being… well, Kangana, decided to go ahead and engaged in an ugly spat with the Good Newwz actor. In one of her tweets, she called Diljit as Karan Johar’s paltu (pet) and asked him to stop the drama. Diljit retaliated and asked the Tanu Weds Manu actress if she too is the pet of every person she has worked with.

Well, as you can see, the fight escalated rather quickly and soon before we knew, things turned from bad to ugly. Obviously, with so much drama on the plate, Twitterati flooded the micro-blogging site with their opinions and memes. While some openly chose sides, some were there just to enjoy the whole fiasco. We aren’t sure what the outcome of this verbal spat will be or if there will be any outcome at all. Diljit isn’t the first Punjabi star to get into an argument with Kangana over her views on the farmer’s protest. Recently, former Bigg Boss 13 contestant Himansha Khurrana also slammed the actress for her controversial tweets and as a result, Kangana blocked Himanshi on social media. Whether she will do the same with Diljit, is yet to be seen.
