It was a star-studded event at the inaugural ceremony of the 23rd Kolkata International FIlm Festival where our favourite celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Kamal Haasan were spotted posing with warm smiles for the shutterbugs.
India’s second oldest film festival, the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) will screen a collection of 143 films under 16 categories, spanning across 53 countries until November 17. The films will be screened around 12 venues in the city with 93 foreign films and 50 films from India are slated to be showcased at the festival.
Shah Rukh’s love for Kolkata is well-known by now, and he was thrilled to be at the event, as he so fondly put up in his Instagram post with the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee.
Kajol was just as thrilled and struck a perfect pose in her Insta post, captioning it: ‘Kolkata Film Festival. Here we go!”
We are absolutely loving the film industry coming together for the best cinematic talent across the world, and our Bollywood hearts couldn’t help but gush over the rather iconic reunion of some of the members of our beloved Raichand family from Kabhi Khushi, Kabhie Gham. More specifically, of course, our very own Rahul and Anjali (because Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is just as nostalgic of course), as Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s friendly banter was captured beautifully by the media.
Dear SRK and Kajol, thank you for setting the bar so high for #FriendshipGoals!
