Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana has given us outstanding performances. From a sperm donor (Vicky Donor, 2012) to a guy suffering from erectile dysfunction (Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, 2017) to a blind pianist (Andhadhun, 2018), the 34-year-old actor has compelled us to fall in love with his storytelling. His next project, after Article 15, is no exception.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, a sequel to Shubh Mangal Saavdhan that featured Bhumi Pednekar, is a love story where Ayushmann is playing a homosexual. In the happy spirit of Pride Month, it brings us great joy to announce that an actor has almost been locked in to play AK’s love interest in the film.
Hint: This actor has the Web world head-over-heels in love with him. He is sweet, funny and simply unforgettable. Also, everyone knows him as ‘Jitu Bhaiya‘.

According to reports, Jitu Bhaiya alias Jitendra Kumar is rumoured to be a part of the film as the lead opposite Ayushmann. Jitendra was last seen in the Shweta Tripathi starrer Gone Kesh.
A source close to the project revealed, “The character is a small town boy and the makers wanted to take an actor who can pull off the character with ease. The makers wanted a relatively fresh face and after doing the rounds of auditions, Jitendra fitted all the bills. Although he has not signed on the dotted line yet, he is the one.”

“The Shubh Mangal Saavdhan franchise is our tribute to the churning that keeps our society alive. Every instalment will deal with a topic that touches every person but no one wants to speak about it publicly. Like the first film, this one too will broach a taboo subject with great sensitivity and light humour. I anticipate a lot of conversations and cheer around the second film too,” said producer Aanand L Rai.
Releasing on Valentine’s Day 2020, the film is expected to kick-off in the last week of August and will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule. According to reports, SBZS will clash at the Box Office with Sara Ali Khan-Kartik Aaryan starrer Love Aaj Kal 2 and Disha Patani-Aditya Roy Kapur’s Malang.
