Janhvi Just Revealed The One Kapoor Rule That Her Family Follows & It’s Surprising AF!

Star Vs Food Season 2 released a few hours ago on Discovery Plus and the premiere episode was ah-mazing! Jahnvi Kapoor was the first guest to showcase her culinary skills and we have to say, she’s quite good at it. The actress cooked some really complicated Korean dishes for her friends and TBH, we wish we could have a bite too! While all the dishes looked delicious, we especially loved the Bibimbap and Haemul Pajeon (they looked as exotic as they sound).

Well, Janhvi is not just an amazing cook, but an entertaining one as well. Her candid conversations with Chef Abhishek Basu, who was assisting her in the kitchen, were the highlight of the episode.

She spilled some interesting secrets about her family while de-shelling and cleaning seafood items, and that grabbed all our attention. Turns out, her family members have a test to prove that they’re truly Kapoors and if they fail, they can never redeem themselves!

Janhvi revealed during a conversation with Anurag that her family is very particular about their taste. They have to handle the heat to be considered a part of the clan, or else they lose a seat on the dining table. She said, “In our household, if you can’t take spice then you are not a Kapoor and you get shamed for life and you sit on a separate table.”

Ouch! That’s a pretty tough rule TBH, but that explains Janhvi’s enthusiasm to make her meals spicier. Well, we have to give it to her for being a great student in the kitchen and following the chef’s instructions sincerely. From chopping to adding seasonings like Salt Bae in her meals, she did everything perfectly.

During a recent interview with a leading daily, Janhvi said that despite having several ‘oops’ moments in the kitchen, she enjoyed herself thoroughly. She said, “The experience of cooking a Korean dish was unparalleled as I was on the knife’s edge this time unlike enjoying my meal in a restaurant. Korean is one of the most challenging cuisines to prepare, but Chef Basu’s passion encouraged me to attempt even after so many blunders and ‘Oops’ moments in the kitchen! It makes me extremely proud to overcome my kitchen fear and nail something so difficult.”

We loved the first episode and cannot wait to see more. We’re so excited to watch Ananya Panday, Badshah, Anil Kapoor, Zakir Khan and Nora Fatehi cook delicious meals and entertain us in the upcoming episodes.
