Janhvi Kapoor Reveals That Working On This Film Broke Her Mentally & We’re Concerned

2021 started on a bright note for Janhvi Kapoor and her fans were eager to watch her in some amazing movies this year. The actress was roped in to play the leading role in Dostana 2 and Karan Johar’s periodic drama, Takht. However, things did not go as planned and we all were utterly disappointed to learn that both the projects got derailed. While the former’s shooting halted midway because of internal disputes, the latter got shelved due to major controversies.

Both these instances affected Janhvi and while speaking to a leading daily, she called it a heartbreaking experience. She revealed that as an actress, she is extremely dedicated to her work and that can sometimes take a toll on her. While talking about another ongoing project, the Dhadak actress said that her extensive schedules exhausted her mentally.

Janhvi revealed that the one thing that makes her a good actress, but is also problematic in life, is her habit of draining out herself completely to feel accomplished. “I think I’m a very hardworking and sincere actor. If nothing else, I try to be as honest as an actor as possible. Sometimes I feel like, if I’m not feeling completely exhausted, drained and broken after a schedule then maybe I haven’t given it my everything. And that is something I’m learning through the film I’m doing right now. We had one schedule which was I think it broke me physically and mentally,” she said.

The actress has referred to the shooting of her upcoming movie, Helen, which is a Bollywood remake of a hit Malayalam movie. She added that her current schedule is comparatively easier, thanks to the film’s director, Mathukutty Xavier. “He just makes my life so easy, which is why I’m like, ‘I’m not suffering enough’,” she said jokingly.

Well, we hope the actress doesn’t burn out herself to give a stellar performance. Janhvi, you are an amazing actress. So, go easy on yourself. We are sure you are going to look awesome in Helen.
