After witnessing the heartbreaking scenes of the rain-battered Mumbai on Twitter, the internet is now horrified with the heart-stopping videos of a massive sandstorm engulfing the city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Reportedly, the strong, humongous sandstorms started on the evening of August 5, affecting the neighbouring cities like Balotra and Barmer too.
There was zero visibility in the affected areas and the skies as far as 300 km were covered by suspended dust, making it difficult for the locals to see anything even a few feet away.
The sandstorm first hit the villages of Poonam Nagar, Nehadai and Mohangarh – and later moved towards the city’s famous Sonar Quila, also known as the Golden Fort.
