Itne Paise Nahi Kamati Mai: Janhvi Kapoor’s Response On Being Trolled For Repeating Clothes Is Deadly & Desi
Poo from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is the full-of-herself (fictional) fashionista who feels more and more real when people act like her. And they do! Remember when Poo said, “If I remember right, parso ke din bhi yahi pehna tha na tumne?” to a fellow college friend? Imagine having someone like her in your office or college or colony who constantly judges your clothes. Ugh, minuuuus!
Recently, Dhadak actress Janhvi Kapoor was criticized for repeating clothes at an event. Comments left on her paparazzi images trolled her with the argument that since celebrities are rich, they should be able to afford brand new and designer clothes every day.
Recently, on a talk show hosted by fashion designer Anaita Shroff Adjania titled Feet Up with the Stars, Janhvi was asked how she responds to trolls who call her out for repeating outfits and her response was, “Itna bhi paisa nahi kamaaya maine ki har roz naye kapde (I haven’t earned so much money that I can wear new clothes every day).”
That’s not all, she further shared an incident about how she shopped for around Rs 12,000 from Jaipur’s famous Johri Bazaar and like any other girl, she bargained with the shopkeeper. In return, the shopkeeper treated her with local street food like kulfis and samosas. Isn’t that sweet?
We are often judged for repeating outfits. Celebrity or not, we all have faced that head-to-toe gaze checking out our outfit.
So we have to say – Janhvi, we feel you. It’s all about wearing what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Mic drop!
