We all are addicted to social media and we know it. Whether it is putting up Instagram stories every day or posting anything and everything that we want, we all are guilty of being overtly active on these applications. According to Instagram (in 2017), those under the age of 25 spend more than 32 minutes a day on the app (on an average) while those aged 25 and older spend more than 24 minutes a day. It goes without saying that people would spend a lot of time on Instagram on a festive day like Thanksgiving. So you can imagine the chaos that followed from both Instagram and Facebook crashed on November 28, 2019 (Thanksgiving Day). To quench their social media thirst, netizens turned to Twitter and post some witty, ironic and hilarious memes about their woes.
According to Down Detector, a tech-website that tracks social media crashing, over 20,000 problems were reported on Instagram in India alone (between 7pm to 3am). People were also quite outraged that they could not login to Facebook either.
