Ever since Yami Gautam shared her wedding pictures, we’ve been hooked to her ‘gram to get a sneak peek of the rest of her wedding. The Vicky Donor actress sealed the deal with filmmaker Aditya Dhar in an intimate wedding held on Friday.
She shared a picture of the two in their wedding finery with a beautiful caption and we were instantly drawn to her heirloom-worthy sari. The drape featured intricate gold embroidery while her blouse stood out for its geometric motifs. And today, the newlywed took to Instagram to share a few more never-seen-before snaps from the intimate mountain wedding and we can’t wait to share the deets with you. Scroll through to see some inside pictures from the Haldi and Kalira ceremony.
Haldi Ceremony
The actress looked super happy while the photographer clicked her picture during the Haldi ceremony. The snap shows one of her sisters smearing haldi on her face. Apart from her adorable smile, another major talking point from Yami Gautam’s haldi nuptials is her choice of outfit. She chose to keep her look minimalistic by opting for a soothing shade of yellow. The bride gave conventional gold jewellery a rain check and instead opted for a maang tikka and gypsy earrings made from cowrie shells along with a couple of yellow pom-poms. She styled her locks in a half-up, half-down hairstyle and kept her makeup to a bare minimum.
Inside Her Kalira Ceremony
Yami stands out effortlessly in every picture and there’s no denying it. For her Kalira ceremony, Yami looks breathtakingly beautiful in a pretty red saree that features striking yet intricate gota patti embroidery. Her half-sleeve blouse featured delicate thread work along with the gota patti border. To elevate her look, the actress wore an eye-catching nath along with traditional gold earrings. Just like all other looks, Yami rounded off her pre-wedding ensemble with minimal makeup and a rose pink lip colour.
The One With Traditional Anklets
This look is definitely worth bookmarking for a pre-wedding celebration. To complement her attire, Yami is seen wearing a traditional silver anklet. A lightweight saree like hers can be worn everywhere, from a family member’s engagement party to your BFFs intimate pheras in the future. It also makes a great addition to a bridal trousseau if you wish to ditch the heavy bridal lehengas all together.
Can’t wait for the shaadi season!
