I enjoy a good love story, and if you throw in some filmy elements, I am sold! This is exactly how an interfaith couple celebrated their engagement.
A Pakistani woman got engaged to her Indian fiancé and they marked the occasion with a ‘Main Hoon Na‘ theme cake! To address their love beyond the border, ‘#Project Milaap Begins’ was written on the cake.
The bride-to-be’s sister, Mishal, shared the picture on Twitter, along with a caption, ‘My sister just got engaged to her Indian boyfriend so you know we had to address the elephant in the room somehow.’ Then replying to her own tweet she wrote, ‘If ydk what Project Milaap means, please grow up & educate yourself.’
For those still scratching their heads, ‘Project Milaap’ was the name of a program in the movie Main Hoon Na. The motive was to promote peace and friendship between India and Pakistan.
Gotta say, this is such a subtle yet creative way to celebrate love and address the ‘elephant in the room’.
