More often than not, star kids start working behind the camera before they step in front of it. Ranbir Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Sonam Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan are some of the celebs who assisted A-list directors before they made their big Bollywood debuts. Of course, it helps them understand the craft better and gives them important insight into the process of filmmaking.
The latest to join the bandwagon is Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan. While talking to a leading daily, the Bhoot Police actor revealed that Ibrahim would work as assistant director for Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He said, “Ibrahim is assisting on a Karan Johar movie and sharing that with me. We talk about his ideas and dreams.”
OMG, does that mean we’ll get to see chote nawab making his Bollywood debut soon? Earlier, Saif had revealed, “Ibrahim seems prepared for a career in acting. I don’t know if I will launch him. It’s an option and films are certainly a viable career choice for him. He’s sporty and likes the idea of being in the movies rather than pursuing an academic job. No one in the family, with the exception of his sister (Sara Ali Khan), has been interested in the latter anyway.” We’d really like to see the three of them in a movie together someday. That would be epic!
About the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, the movie marks Karan’s comeback as a director after five years. The filmmaker last directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016. The stellar star cast of RARKPK includes Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan. Here’s wishing Ibrahim all the very best for his first Bollywood project.
